MIDLAND COLLIE CLUB
SUNDAY 19TH JULY 2009-07-21

My sincere thanks to the Midland Collie Club committee for inviting me to judge their breed show. Good food, nice company and some nice dogs to go over made it very memorable. Thank you also for the gift, I had a lovely day and enjoyed the show immensely. Edith Pryor Aqualita Collies

VET DOG/BITCH ABS

Minor Puppy dog 2
1. Fryer-Clark Stanley & Evans’ Stud Bolt Vonarkle 7 month S/W a real baby. Nice head, correct shaped and place of eye. Ears correctly placed and using them well which gave him a nice expression. Enough bone, groomed and presented to perfection.
2. Milligan’s Alfsdens Hallewjah. Another nice shaped puppy with correct bone but a little too much substance which spoils his movement, not so streamlined as 1.
Puppy Dog 3 (1 abs)
1. Abbott’s Cotswoldway Solomon’s Gold Wow! What a lovely puppy dog. 11 months old with the confidence of a mature male. Lovely head, dark almond shaped eye, nice flat head and lovely tight ears which he used non stop. Well arched neck onto good lay of shoulder with nice dept of chest. He moved soundly with purpose I had great pleasure going over him BEST PUPPY BEST DOG BEST IN SHOW
2. Howard’s Corydon look as me from Shandlmain. Another nice s/w dog similar to 1 in many ways but slipped on the mat when entering the room so was unsettled.

Junior dog 2
1. Abbott’s Cotswoldway Solomon’s Gold
2. Coulsens Bluechip Skyes the limit. 13 months of age. Nice make and shape but had not got the movement or elegance of 1st.

Novice dog 4 (1 abs)
1. Abbott’s Cotswoldway Solomon’s Gold
2. Howard’s Corydon look as me from Shandlmain. 2nd in puppy dog and was a lot more settled than the earlier class and it showed in his movement.
3. Milligan’s Alfsdens Hallewjah

Graduate Dog 1
1. Jones’ Rossavon Tuxedo with Dancol. 20 months tri dog stood alone but a worthy winner. Good head pattern with correctly placed ears. Good reach of neck and length in the body. He moved with purpose and if I must be critical he was a little full in the eye.

Post Graduate dog 4 (2 abs)
1. Jones’ Rossavon Tuxedo with Dancol.
2. Grindley & Rogers’ Lancrue Lewis Hamilton Nice s/w head pattern a bit different to what I like but none the less a very sound dog.

Limit dog 1
1. Jones’ Iflesdene Power Game for Dancol. Stood alone. Nice dark eye of correct shape and good ears which, when he used them, gave him a nice expression. Good length in the back movement OK, plaited a little in front.

Open dog (3 1abs)
1. Sergeant’s Coarhabeg Raphael. Very muscular s/w dog nice eye, good foreface with plenty of bone. Very attentive to handler, moved ok.
2. Besdenon’s Myriehewe Galileo. The movement on this dog is fabulous but today he was more interested in the opposite sex. These two dogs could change places.
3. Jones’ Iflesdene Power Game for Dancol.

Minor Puppy Bitch 3
1. Price’s Brodscol Gosh I’m Gorgeous. s/w very much a baby, nice make and shape, lovely dark eye ears bang on top of head stood four square, enough bone moved well.
2. Ryan’s Caronlea Celtic Quest Tri bitch heavier than 1 but shorter in body and carrying a little too much weight which spoilt her movement. Nice head and expression presented and groomed well.
3. Coulson Aldermead Dawn Skyes over Bluchip

Puppy bitch 3 (2 abs)
4. White’s Corydon Maid for Majola. N nicely made bitch good reach of neck and length of back with enough bone, Moved with purpose. Correct dark eye. BEST PUPPY BITCH

Junior Bitch 2 (2 abs)
1. Smith’s Danfrebek Neena La Diva Avec Sharla. s/w 14 months nice eye ears and a good shape overall. A tad close on the move behind but could improve with age.

Novice Bitch 2 (2 abs)

1. Langford’s Alice and Lovely. This was a difficult class to judge as both bitches were very similar. Tri bitch with plenty of coat nice head but her movement and overall shape could be improved if she was leaner.
2. Davis’s Sabiha’s stole my heart. S/w and another bitch who likes her dinners. Front movement was erratic but presented and shown in good order.

Graduate Bitch
1. Scott's Corydon Crystal Dark at Sachenda. 2 years old and the best mover in the bitches today with a correct fitted jacket. Lovely head and expression correct ears, good lay of shoulder into strong back. A dream girl and one to watch in the future. BEST BITCH
2. Langford’s Alive and Lovely
3. Davis’ Sabiha’s Songbird with Sachenda
4. Sabiha’s Sweet Melody

Post Graduate
1. Grimley’s and Rogers’ Lanrue Jolene. 2 year old s/w very feminine bitch with plenty of bone, nice tight feet correct head giving a pleasing expression movement ok.
2. Fryer Clarke Stanley & Evans’ Vonarkle Guess who’s Grand. Another nice bitch similar to 1 and much the same applies but both handler and dog need to practice and on another day could have won this class.
3. Langford’s Alive and Lovely

Limit Bitch 2 (2 abs)
1. White’s Mejola Wicked Lady Tri bitch with a nice head and expression, good length of body with a correctly fitted coat and she certainly gave us a show. She lost out in the bitch challenge to graduate bitch but it was a close decision.
2. Sargant’s Coarhabeg Blowin in the wind. b/m with a lovely broken colour and a correctly fitted jacked. Not has happy on the move as 1 but another very nice bitch.

Open Bitch 5 (3 abs)
1. Milligan’s Alfsden Hakuna Matata Tri bitch carrying a tad too much weight but did not detracted from the fact she is a good shape, nice head and expression plenty of bone and moved out with purpose.
2. Coulsen’s Bluchip Tainted Skye. Tri bitch, nice make and shape not as elegant as 1 and another who likes her dinner but still overall a quality bitch.
